  • Cubaris sp. 'Lavender Panda King' is EXTREMELY prolific. I ended up catching a few individuals releasing their mancae and counted at least 20 individuals being released in each birth. This species prefers extremely deep substrate (4-5 in), enriched with lots of rotting wood (I use BOSS premium hardwood pellets) and cork bark. They like to be kept at a temperature between 70-80F,  with a humidity of 70-85%. I don't keep any of their substrate dry. I prefer to provide them with lots of leaf litter and cork bark. I noticed a large increase in mancae from my Cubaris sp. Isopods, when I began providing powdered calcium derived from limestone (You can get a big bag on Amazon) and bat guano.

  • Cubaris sp. 'Lavender panda king' is an extremely beautiful isopod that becomes progressively bolder as their number increases, making them a wonderful display isopod.  Cubaris sp. originate in low-ventilation cave networks in Thailand, making them the perfect addition to closed terrariums.
